
Wes Bankston joins Biscuits

Montgomery Biscuits News Release
The Montgomery Biscuits announced today that infielder Wes Bankston has been promoted to Montgomery from Class A-Advanced Visalia. Infielder Gabriel Martinez has been sent to Class A-Advanced Visalia (California League) to make room for Bankston on the roster.
Bankston, the Charleston RiverDogs 2004 Player of the Year, was hitting .387 with 3 home runs and 23 RBI in 17 games for Visalia. The fourth-round pick in 2004 joined Visalia in May after having pre-season knee surgery. Bankston will start at first base for the Biscuits.
Martinez, who had been the Biscuits' starting first baseman, was hitting .212 with 3 home runs and 26 RBI in 44 games for the Biscuits.
