Sarnia Sting News Release
The Sting are coming off a commanding 7-0 win over the Guelph Storm on Saturday night in front of a season-high crowd of 3,160 fans. On Saturday night the Sting managed to go 3 / 4 with the man advantage while remaining perfect on four penalty kills.
In addition to seeing their special teams take a step forward, the Sting are also pleased to see sophomore forward Jordan Kyrou find his stride. After going 15 games without a goal to start the season, Kyrou has registered four goals in his last three games.
This weekend, the Sting are home to the Owen Sound Attack and the Niagara IceDogs; both of which are sure to be exciting matchups.
Friday's game against the Attack is certainly an important one for the club as the two teams are neck and neck in the Western Conference standings. Puck drop is slated for 7:05 PM.
On Saturday night, the Sarnia Sting look to close out the weekend with a win against Josh Ho-Sang and the Niagara IceDogs. Fans in attendance on Saturday night will go home with a specialty 'Movember-themed' signature poster. In conjunction with the giveaway, the entire team will be at Lambton Mall on Monday night (6:30 PM) for an autograph session.

Sting Notes
Jordan Kyrou: After going 16 games without a goal, Kyrou has scored 4 times in his last 3 games. The 98-born forward now has 11 points on the year. Kyrou was also added to Team OHL on Friday & will play in CAN/RUS series game tonight in Windsor.
Justin Fazio: Fazio turned aside 24/24 on Saturday night, earning his second shutout of the season. Record: 10 - 6 - 1 - 0
Connor Schlichting: Schlichting recorded his first of the season on Saturday night against Guelph.
Jakob Chychrun: Chychrun will play for Team OHL on Monday night in the CAN/RUS game. He has 13 pts & is a +10 on the season.
Pavel Zacha: With 3G (2 on Saturday) last weekend, Zacha now has 9 on the season.
Injury Report: Anthony Salinitri - lower body (week-to-week)
Standings: Sting are currently 11-7-2-0 on the season, behind only the Windsor Spitfires in the West Division standings.
Friday, November 20, 2015 - Owen Sound attack (10-6-3-1) @ Sarnia Sting (11-7-2-0)
Puck Drop: 7:05 p.m.
The Sting and Attack are tied with 24 points and are battling for sole possession of 5th in the Western Conference standings. At the start of the month, the Sting got the best of the Attack, downing them in overtime in Owen Sound.
Players to watch:
Santino Centorame: Centorame leads all Attack skaters with 18 points in 20 games played. The 96-born, Mississauga native is 2nd in scoring among OHL defencemen.
Josh Sterk: The overage centreman is off to a good start with the Attack, leading the team in assists with 14 through his first 19 games.
Saturday, November 21, 2015 - Niagara IceDogs (10-8-1-0) @ Sarnia Sting (11-7-2-0)
Puck Drop: 7:05 p.m.
The Icedogs are led by a skilled offense and have been hot as of late. The 'Dogs are 7-3-0-0 in their last 10 games. That streak includes a 6-2 win over the Sting at the end of October.
Players to watch:
Josh Ho Sang: The Islanders prospect leads the way for the IceDogs with 28 points, including 7 goals and 21 assists. Ho Sang will be a guy that the Sting keep their eye on Saturday night.
Jordan Maletta: Maletta leads the team in goals with 10, and is second in points with 19. The overager had a career high 24 goals and 52 points last season.
