Weekend Excitement with the Ducks

Long Island Ducks News Release


(Central Islip, N.Y. - September 1, 2010) - The Long Island Ducks begin a five-game homestand this weekend, and open up a Liberty Division showdown against their cross-sound rival, the Bridgeport Bluefish. Tickets for the last leg of the Ferry Cup Series are available right now and can be purchased by calling the Suffolk County Sports Park Box office at 631-940-TIXX or by CLICKING HERE.

Friday and Saturday's games begin at 7:05 PM with the Suffolk County Sports Park gates opening at 6:05. Get to the ballpark early on Friday as the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive Ducks Water Bottles, courtesy of the New York State Nurses Association.

Don't forget about Sunday Family Funday because all fans will be invited onto the field prior to the game to meet the 2010 Long Island Ducks, as well as after the game for Kids Run the Bases, presented by Bethpage Federal Credit Union. Game time is set for 1:35 PM and the Suffolk County Sports Park gates open at 12:35.

The Ducks also will be hosting "Unused Ticket Days" beginning on Friday, September 3, at the Duck Pond. Ticket holders interested in exchanging their unused tickets can do so by visiting the Suffolk County Sports Box Office. Tickets can be exchanged for games on September 3, September 4 or September 5 against the Bluefish. A one dollar fee per ticket will be applied to account for the Suffolk County surcharge on all tickets. The exchanging of tickets must be done at the Suffolk County Sports Box Office, and cannot be done over the phone or via the Internet.
