Altoona Curve News Release
CURVE, Pa. - The Altoona Curve have postponed Wednesday evening's 7 p.m. game vs. the Harrisburg Senators (AA - Washington Nationals) due to the inclement weather. The Curve and Senators will play the final two games of their three-game series on Thursday with game one beginning at 5:30 p.m. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m.
Any fans holding a ticket(s) to Wednesday's game may exchange that ticket(s) to any remaining 2010 Altoona Curve home game for equal or lesser value based on availability.
The Curve's headline-grabbing Redundancy Night promotion, which was scheduled for Wednesday and garnered the franchise national recognition from MiLB.com for the third straight week will take place during Thursday's game.
"Well, looks like redundancy strikes again with rain in Altoona," joked General Manager Rob Egan. "Now we have to take our Redundancy Night promotion to another level by playing two games on Thursday. If that's not redundant, I'm not quite sure what is."
Additionally, fans can enjoy Thirsty Thursday drink specials presented by Rocky 104.9. 16 ounce Bud Light Drafts will be just $2.00 all game long while 22 ounce fountain sodas will be just $1.50. Fans 21 and older will also take home a Pint Glass Giveaway courtesy of Furrer Beverage upon their exiting the gates near the conclusion of the second game.
Altoona will send RHP Tim Alderson (4-2, 4.42) to the mound against Harrisburg righty Andrew Kown (1-1, 3.97) in the first game of the twin bill while LHP Rudy Owens (6-2, 2.91) will toss for Altoona in the night cap against Senators southpaw Chuck James (2-0, 0.00).
Air time on flagship station ESPN Radio 1430, WVAM and Altoona Curve Radio Network affiliates will begin at 5:00 p.m.
