The Waterloo Black Hawks' Players of the Week are listed below. Players of the Week are chosen each Monday by the Hawks' coaches and staff and posted on waterlooblackhawks.com.
FishSticks Millwork Offensive Player of the Week - Patrick Russell
Scoring a key goal on both Friday and Saturday, Russell finished the weekend with two goals and an assist. He was also +1 and now has eight total goals this season.
Denver Construction Defensive Player of the Week - Alec McCrea
McCrea led all Waterloo players with a +3 plus/minus rating. His second goal of the season, scored on Friday in Sioux Falls, was also vital to the Hawks' comeback win.
UAW Local 838 Hardest Worker - Cal Petersen
Back after representing the United States during international competition, Petersen earned two victories in close games, stopping 56 of the 61 shots he faced.
Convenient Care Heart of the Week - Tyler Sheehy
Sheehy delivered three points in two appearances. On top of his goal and two assists, the young forward also saved a goal with a hustling effort early in Saturday's matchup versus Omaha.
