RALSTON, NE - Second-year Lancers goaltender Cole Bruns turned in his league-best sixth shutout of the season in a 3-0 Lancers win over the Chicago Steel on Friday at Ralston Arena, but on Saturday, the Lancers fell at Young Arena to the Waterloo Black Hawks by a final score of 3-2. Following the weekend split, the Lancers emerged at 13-3-1 overall in 2013-14 and with 27 points, remain alone atop both the Western Conference and overall USHL standings. Bruns, the USHL's leader in wins (9), shutouts (6), goals-against average (1.77) and save percentage (.934), was superb last weekend, stopping 51 of the combined 54 shots he faced. Omaha native Gage Hough (9G, 17A - 26 PTS), the USHL's second-leading scorer, netted four points (1G, 3A) on the weekend and with a three point weekend to his credit (1G, 2A), the league's top scorer Jake Randolph (9G, 25A - 34 PTS), a Nebraska-Omaha recruit, extended his individual point streak to a USHL-wide season long 11 games. Omaha's loss in Waterloo was the Lancers' second in two games played this year on the Olympic-sized ice sheet at Young Arena, the Lancers' only two regulation road losses this season. Omaha's season series vs. the Black Hawks concludes with a pair of games on December 13th, 2013 and February 22nd, 2014 at Ralston Arena. Next up for the Lancers, it's a Friday showdown at Scheels Arena in Fargo, North Dakota vs. the Fargo Force (4-9-2, 10 pts., tied for sixth in Western Conference) at 7:05 pm. Then on Saturday, Omaha returns home for a Saturday tilt at 7:05 pm vs. the Indiana Ice (7-4-3, 17 pts., sixth in Eastern Conference) at Ralston Arena. The Lancers are 1-0-0 vs. both the Force and the Ice so far this season.

Omaha G Cole Bruns (13 GP, 9-3-1, 6 SO, 1.77 GAA, .934 S%) leads the USHL in wins, shutouts, goals-against average and save percentage.
- Lancers F Jake Randolph (9G, 25A - 34 PTS) leads the USHL in assists, points and shorthanded assists (2), is tied for the league- lead in plus/minus (+20) and power-play assists (8) and is currently riding the USHL's longest individual point streak of the season (11 games with 22 total points over that span).
- Omaha native and Lancers F Gage Hough (9G, 17A - 26 PTS) ranks second to Randolph league-wide in assists and points and is tied for the USHL lead in plus/minus (+20) and power-play goals (5).
- Omaha F Tyler Vesel (14G, 11A - 25 PTS) currently leads the USHL in goals, ranks third in points and is tied for the league- lead in plus/minus (+20), shorthanded goals (2) and game- winning goals (3).
- Lancers captain, D Tucker Poolman (4G, 7A - 11 PTS) is tied for the league-lead among defensemen in goals and is tied for second among blueliners in points.
- The Lancers currently rank second in the USHL on both the power-play (23.4%) and the penalty-kill (88.6%).
- While Omaha ranks in the league's top five in goals per game (3.88, third), goals-against per game (1.82, first) and shots allowed per game (26.88, second), the Lancers put the third fewest shots on goal per game league-wide (29.06), yet have somehow managed to score the USHL's second-most goals (66), thereby earning the league's top shooting percentage (13.4%).
- Omaha has allowed fewer goals (31) than any other USHL team.
