Washington Spirit Announces 2016 Preseason Roster

BOYDS, MD. - The Washington Spirit opened its NWSL 2016 training camp today, Monday, March 14. The team will complete a full week of training before the first preseason match at 7:00 PM on Saturday at Maureen Hendricks Field against University of Virginia.

The Spirit acquired a few new players in the off season, including forward Katie Stengel and defender Alyssa Kleiner. The Spirit also received two new Canadian allocations - defender Shelina Zadorsky and goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé.

The Washington Spirit will begin its 2016 season on Saturday, April 16 at Maureen Hendricks Field at the Maryland SoccerPlex at 7:00 pm against Boston Breakers.
