Warriors Thank Season Ticket Holders
September 19, 2012 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
With the excitement brewing for another Western Hockey League season, the Moose Jaw Warriors have once again set a franchise record for season tickets.
During the clubs 26 year run at the Moose Jaw Civic Centre season tickets never eclipsed the 2,300 mark; in their inaugural year in Mosaic Place (2011-12) they sold 3,027. Heading into the 2012-13 season the Warriors are thrilled to announce that they have set a franchise record by surpassing 3,200 season tickets.
"The community has shown once again their support and love for the Moose Jaw Warriors," said Director of Business Operations Corey Nyhagen. "As the fans continue to come out in record numbers, we feel that it's our responsibility to strive for the best possible fan experience every game."
-5080282829000To show their appreciation, the Warriors are excited to announce that each season ticket holder will be given a limited edition Morgan Rielly bobblehead. Rielly became the highest drafted Warrior into the NHL when the Toronto Maple Leafs selected him fifth overall in June, he also took part in the 2012 Canada-Russia Challenge, which featured the top junior aged players from across the nation in a four game series against Russia which was a tribute to the 1972 Summit Series.
"It's pretty cool," said Rielly. "As a kid you always have some in your room, I know I had a few of them. I think it's a great idea we had here and it's pretty exciting to have my own."
"Morgan and our fans both play a major role in the success of our organization," said Nyhagen. "The idea is two-fold, we wanted to thank the season ticket holders for their continued support, as well, we wanted to pay tribute to Morgan for his successes as a Moose Jaw Warrior."
The Morgan Rielly bobbleheads are limited edition and are exclusive to Moose Jaw Warrior season ticket holders. Season ticket packages are still available, for more information go to www.mjwarriors.ca or call 694-5711. The bobbleheads will be given to those who have season tickets as of Thursday, November 1st, 2012; one bobblehead will be given per season ticket and will be available for distribution Monday, November 19th at the Warriors Office during regular business hours.
