
Warriors Take Down Spurs, 115-101

CEDAR PARK, TX - The Santa Cruz Warriors (18-15) beat the Austin Spurs (19-14), 115-101, Sunday afternoon at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. Six out of eight Sea Dubs scored in double figures Sunday afternoon-including all five starters-with Andrew Harrison leading the way with 29 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds. The Warriors snapped the Spurs' four-game win streak with the victory.
Deyonta Davis notched his seventh double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Roger Moute a Bidias recorded his second-straight double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Nick Zeisloft added 15 points off the bench (5-for-9 3FG).
The Warriors led by as many as 11 points in the first half and limited the Spurs to one three-pointer until the final minute of the first half when the Spurs hit back-to-back threes and entered halftime tied, 54-54. San Antonio Spurs assignment player Luka Samanic led all first half scorers (12 points) and finished with 17 points.
Santa Cruz held a 79-73 lead after three quarters, but the Spurs scored the first five points of the fourth quarter to get back within a point. A Zeisloft three-pointer stopped the spurt and the Warriors were able to extend the lead to as many as 16 points. The Warriors had 26 assists and shot 50 percent from the floor (42-of-84 FG) for the game.
San Antonio Spurs assignee Chimezie Metu led Austin with 20 points, while fellow Spurs assignee Keldon Johnson scored 18 points.
The Warriors have won both games in the season series with Austin and will next face each other on Saturday, February 29 at Kaiser Permanente Arena with a 7 p.m. tip-off.
The Warriors return home Wednesday, February 12, to take on the Iowa Wolves at Kaiser Permanente Arena at 7 p.m. Fans can view the game on NBC Sports Bay Area Plus or stream on the NBC Sports MyTeams App. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a Stephen Curry action figure.
