SANTA CRUZ, CA - The Santa Cruz Warriors (17-14) fell to the Salt Lake City Stars (22-10) 111-99 Wednesday night at Kaiser Permanente Arena. The Stars now lead the season series 2-1, with the final meeting between the two teams on March 4 in Salt Lake City.

Alen Smailagic, on assignment from Golden State, scored 26 points and finished the night with seven rebounds. Two-Way guard Ky Bowman tallied 10 points, seven assists and four steals.

The game saw 18 lead changes in the first half, with the Stars taking a 49-47 lead into the locker room at the half. A 14-0 Stars run with six minutes remaining in the fourth gave Salt Lake City a 95-82 lead. The Stars kept Santa Cruz at a distance the remainder of the game, not allowing the Sea Dubs to get closer than seven points down the stretch, snapping their three-game losing streak with the 12-point win.

Deyonta Davis tallied his fifth double-double of the season by contributing 10 points and 12 rebounds. Jeremy Pargo added 10 points and eight assists. Utah Jazz two-way forward Jarrell Brantley finished with 19 points, four rebounds and four assists. Two-way guard Justin Wright-Foreman tallied 22 points in 29 minutes while Miye Oni tallied his second double-double of the G League season with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

The Warriors take off on a two-game road trip starting Friday, February 7 against the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 5 p.m. Fans can view Friday's game on NBC Sports Bay Area Plus or NBAGLeague.com. The Warriors return home Wednesday, February 12 to take on the Iowa Wolves at Kaiser Permanente Arena at 7:00pm.
