
Endya Buford Recognized as Memphis Hustle High School Top Performer of the Month Presented by Campbell Clinic

Endya Buford, a senior basketball player at Olive Branch High School in Olive Branch, has been named the Hustle High School Top Performer of the Month, presented by Campbell Clinic, for the month of December. Buford was recognized at the game on Wednesday, January 22 against the Delaware Blue Coats.
During the month of December Buford led Olive Branch to a 5-1 record, which included a 66-35 victory over cross-county rival, Southaven High School. Buford has helped the Conquistadors to a 15-3 record so far this season, including a perfect 3-0 start in district play. The 'Quistors still remain undefeated against teams from the state of Mississippi this season.
As a junior, Buford averaged 26.3 points, 8.4 assists, 7.3 rebounds & 5.9 steals while leading the 'Quistors to a 5A State Championship before ultimately being named 2019 Mississippi Gatorade Player of the year. Buford, a four-star recruit and the 100th-ranked player nationally, has committed to playing her college ball at the University of Memphis.
"Endya, by committing last spring, was instrumental in recruiting her future teammates and allowing us to sign another high-level class. As the reigning Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year, Endya is known as a fierce competitor and a winner at every level," said Memphis Tigers Head Coach Melissa McFerrin. "She has an infectious tenacity, a transition game that creates for others and keeps opponents honest from the three point line."
Over her first three seasons at Olive Branch, Buford recorded over 1,500 points, nearly 500 assists, nearly 300 steals and 400 rebounds. Buford's accolades include being named an All-State selection, All-Region two years in a row, Miss Basketball State of Mississippi, Clarion Ledger Player of the Year, Dandy Dozen, Commercial Appeal Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player of the state championship game.
