Warriors Drop Hitmen 9-2

Moose Jaw, SK - The Calgary Hitmen are now 1-1 on their four-game road trip after a 9-2 loss to the Warriors in Moose Jaw on Friday night.

Martin Rysavy and Josh Hoekstra both scored twice for Moose Jaw with Rysavy adding three assists for a team leading five points. Harper Lolacher, Jagger Firkus, Eric Alarie, Brayden Yager and Lucas Brenton rounded out the scoring for the home side.

The Hitmen, who beat Moose Jaw just six days ago in the ENMAX Teddy Bear Toss, received their goals from Sean Tschigerl and Carter Yakemchuk. For Tschigerl it was sixth of the season while the sophomore defenceman Yakemchuk counted his fourth to tie a career high. Tyson Galloway also added a pair of assists.

Moose Jaw, which outshot the Hitmen 37-29, improves to 19-10 on the season while Calgary drops to 14-8-3-1.

The Hitmen prairie road trip continues tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 10 in Regina before a stop in Brandon on Sunday, Dec. 11. Calgary will then head to Lethbridge the following weekend on Saturday, Dec. 17 before returning home to host Edmonton in their final game before the Christmas break on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 2:00 p.m.
