
Preview: Americans Host Cougars for Back-To-Back Games at Toyota Center

The Americans look to carry momentum from their four-game win streak into this weekend as they matchup against the Prince George Cougars on Friday and Saturday at the Toyota Center.
The two teams have met twice prior as Tri-City opened the season in Prince George. The Americans fell 5-1 on opening night and then defeated the Cougars 8-3 the next day. Koehn Ziemmer led scoring through those games with three goals and one assist for Prince George. Jake Sloan had one goal and three assists for Tri-City.
The Americans are currently 7th in Western Conference standings with 24 points. Prince George is four points ahead of Tri-City, sitting at 5th.
After sweeping two straight weekends at home, the Americans are on a four game winning streak for the second time this season.
They most recently played last Saturday when they defeated the Kelowna Rockets 5-1. Parker Bell led the Americans with two goals and one assist. Tomas Suchanek put on a strong performance in net as he turned aside 36 of 37 shots faced, recording his 11th victory of the season.
Lukas Dragicevic continues his historic point streak with an assist against the Rockets. The 17-year-old defenseman has points in 19 straight games, dating back to October 14. Over that period he has recorded six goals and 22 assists.
With two assists on Saturday, Reese Belton extends his point streak to four games, matching his career best. Belton has one goal and six assists over that period.
Prince George is on a two-game losing skid after falling in Portland on Wednesday and Everett on Tuesday.
