The Wheat Kings return home for their annual Teddy Bear Toss.

Puck Drop at 7pm from Westoba Place. Fans are welcome to bring Teddy Bears, Gloves, Toques or Scarfs to toss on the ice. Please place them in a bag before you throw on the ice.

NEWS & NOTES:

Last Game: The Wheat Kings took 3 of a possible 4 points during their midweek trek through Northern Saskatchewan. It started with a well earned single point against a dangerous Saskatoon Blades team, then a big win inside Art Hauser Centre in Prince Albert. It was a game the Wheat Kings controlled until late in the third period where the Raiders were able to score a pair in the third to tie it up. The Wheat Kings would get a big goal from Jake Chiasson to give the Wheaties a 4-3 win.

Dec 10th VS Spokane: The Wheat Kings host the Spokane Chiefs for the first time since October 16th 2018. The rosters look a lot different now for each club. The days of Adam Beckman, Eli Zummack and Jack Finley are over for the Chiefs who are in a rebuilding year. Last meeting was South of the border in Spokane where the Chiefs dominated winning 7-1 in October of 2019. The Wheat Kings are 0-3 versus the Chiefs with their last victory back in 2017. The Chiefs are also coming off a strong effort Friday night in Winnipeg keeping with the Ice through 60 minutes.

Teddy Bear Toss History: Brett Hyland could join some elite company Saturday joining alumni Ryan Craig(2000,2002) & Teegan Moore(2005, 2006) as the only Wheat Kings to score multiple Teddy Bear Toss goals in their careers. Hyland currently holds the franchise record for the fastest Teddy Bear Toss goal 20 seconds into the game.

Who's Hot: Forward Nate Danielson has been stellar as of late scoring 20 points in his last 12 games. Danielson is also on a 12 game point streak. Nolan Ritchie has 10 points in his last 7 games.
