Moose Jaw Warriors News Release

The Moose Jaw Warriors' annual Snowbirds night returned during the 2021-22 season for the 11th edition of game.

As part of the night, the Warriors wore special edition Snowbirds' themed jerseys, which were auctioned off after the game with the proceeds going towards Support Our Troops.

This week, the Warriors presented the Canadian Forces Snowbirds with a cheque for $21,500 to the charity.

"It means a lot to the organization to be able to host such a fun night each season and being able to raise some money for a great organization is a bonus," Warriors director of business operations Jaret Schneider said.

"The men and women who fight in the Canadian armed forces are an inspiration to everyone and to be able to help them even just a little is nice."

Warriors director of business operations Jaret Schneider presents Commanding Officer of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds L.Col. Denis Bandet with a cheque from the proceeds of the team's 2022 Snowbirds Night.

The partnership between the Warriors and Snowbirds has strengthened over the past decade with the two Moose Jaw-based organizations sharing knowledge and helping each other grow.

"Our partnership with the Snowbirds is something I see us building on in the near future as well. The Snowbirds mean a lot to our community and to be able to honour them is special," Schneider said.

The Warriors return to the ice coming up this fall. Season tickets are available now with early bird pricing continuing until July 14.

The Snowbirds' 2022 show season is underway.
