Petr Moravec Signs with Mountfield HK

Tri-City Americans News Release

KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans General Manager Bob Tory announced today that 19-year-old forward Petr Moravec has signed a contract with Mountfield HK in his hometown of Hradec Králové, Czechia and will not be returning to Tri-City for the 2022-23 season.

Moravec was selected 57th overall by Tri-City in the 2021 CHL Import Draft. The six-foot and 180-pound center played all 68 games last season with the Americans. Over that time, he scored 16 goals and added 19 assists.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for Petr and his hockey development moving forward," said Tory. "We wish him nothing but the best in the future will miss him here in Tri-City."

The 2022 CHL Import Draft will take place online tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. PT. Tri-City will select fourth overall.
