CEDAR PARK, Tex. - Golden State Warriors assignment player Ognjen Kuzmic tied the NBA D- League season record with 24 rebounds as the Santa Cruz Warriors defeated the Austin Toros 123-103 Sunday afternoon. Santa Cruz recorded two all-time bests, scoring 73 first half points and 41 first quarter points.

Santa Cruz's Seth Curry scored 21 points and had five assists, while Joe Alexander scored 20 off the bench and had three steals. Kuzmic set a Santa Cruz all-time record with his 24 boards, in addition to scoring 15 points and blocking a game-high three shots. Cameron Jones also logged a double-double with 17 points and a career-high 11 rebounds, while Daniel Nwaelele scored 17 points.

Austin was led by Courtney Fells, who scored a game-high 32 points and had three steals. Flip Murray added 18 points, while Jonathan Simmons scored 17. Myck Kabongo dished out a game-high nine assists.

The Toros started the game on a 5-1 run, but the Santa Cruz Warriors pulled ahead 6-5 off a Seth Curry three-pointer with 9:50 left in the first and never relinquished the lead. Cameron Jones hit a jump shot to put the Warriors up by 10 with 4:49 left in the first, and Santa Cruz kept its double-digit advantage for the rest of the game. The Warriors owned a season-best 33-point lead in the fourth quarter.

The Warriors held the edge on field goal shooting (52.6%-46.0%), rebounds (61-33), assists (19-18) and points in the paint (62-30). The Toros had more steals (9-7), blocks (6-3) and committed fewer turnovers (14-16).
