Warney's Double-Double Not Enough to Fend off BayHawks

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Erie Bayhawks (8-8) finished strong with a 38-16 fourth quarter to take down the Texas Legends (8-12) 124-107 in Texas' first game of the 2018 G League Showcase.

The two teams kept it close for three and a half quarters with 16 lead changes and 13 ties. Texas went into the fourth with a five-point advantage and doubled it early before Erie streaked through nine straight points. At the seven-minute mark, the Bayhawks tied it up and ended the night with a 24-7 push to the finish line.

Jameel Warney finished all over the books with 18 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. Daryl Macon led the Legends' scoring efforts with 28 points on 50% shooting while adding 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Keith Hornsby added 14 points, 4 rebounds and CJ Leslie finished with 12 points, 6 rebounds.

Isaac Humphries had a career night for the Bayhawks with 34 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Erie finished with seven players in double-digits with RJ Hunter tallying 17 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, and 5 steals.

Texas will wrap up the Showcase with a Friday showdown against Raptors 905 at 7pm CT. Fans can catch all the action live on ESPNU.
