Greensboro Wins Fifth Straight with Victory over South Bay

LAS VEGAS - The Greensboro Swarm won its fifth straight game with a 106-90 victory over the South Bay Lakers on Day Two of the 2018 MGM Resorts NBA G League Winter Showcase. The Swarm improve to 9-8 with the win while the Lakers fall to 9-10.

Greensboro guards J.P. Macura and Jaylen Barford each added 18 points to lead the Swarm in scoring while forward Chinanu Onuaku had a standout performance in the paint, recording 17 points and 16 rebounds. The center now leads the NBA G League in double-doubles this season with 13 total.

South Bay's Travis Wear and Joel Berry II led the Lakers in the loss, each chipping in 19 points. In addition to his eight points and five assists, two-way player Johnathan Williams grabbed 10 rebounds, marking the 11th time this season the forward has had a 10-plus rebounding performance.

The Swarm will finish its Showcase schedule with a matchup against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. PT on Facebook Live. The Lakers face the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. PT on ESPN Plus.
