St. George RoadRunners News Release

WAILUKU, MAUI, HI - St. George starter Reed Dickert offered three walks in 6.2 innings - each free pass lead to crucial runs in a Na Koa Ikaika Maui 5-1 win over the RoadRunners in game four of a seven-game series on Friday night.

Maui improved to 14-8 and paired with Yuma's loss at Orange County, Na Koa Ikaika takes over the top spot in the GBL South by a half-game. St. George (8-15) has lost four in a row and five of seven on this road trip.

The Warriors pulled away in the seventh with three unearned runs. Michael Higa drew a two-out walk and pitcher T.J. Macy reached on an error at first. Fehlandt Lentini doubled home the pair and scored a batter later on a Gered Mochizuki single.

Up to that point, Dickert and Maui starter Jason Mackintosh put on a classic pitcher's duel.

Maui took a 1-0 lead in the third when Mochizuki plated Mackintosh, who had earlier walked, with an RBI sacrifice fly to left.

The RoadRunners tallied the equalizer in the visitor's half of the sixth. Vic Buttler walked and moved to third on a single by Jermy Acey. Buttler tagged from third on a deep fly ball sacrifice from Brett Flowers.
