Beloit Sky Carp News Release

The Oakland Athletics organization has purchased Rockford Aviators' pitcher Joey Wagman and he has been assigned to the Beloit Snappers. Wagman will be moving from the Independent Frontier League to an affiliate of the Oakland A's, but the move isn't that far. The ballpark in Rockford and Pohlman Field in Beloit are only about a 25 minute drive apart.

Bobby Wahl has been promoted to Stockton (Hi-A) to make room for the roster move.

Wagman is 6-2 with a 3.05 ERA in 11 starts with the Aviators this season. The Danville, Calif. native was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 17th round of the 2013 Draft out of California Polytechnic State University. He will wear number 17 for the Snappers.

In 2013, Wagman recorded a 3.57 ERA in 16 relief appearances with Chicago's rookie league affiliate, the Great Falls Voyagers.

The Beloit Snappers conclude their series against the Peoria Chiefs Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.
