November 1, 2007 - ECHL (ECHL)
Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors and the Bakersfield Californian/Bakersfield.com announced that voting for the Condors All-10th Anniversary Dream Team begins today. From the sensational scorers to the best blueliners, from the greatest goalies to the toughest enforcers, fans get to vote for their favorites and determine who will be selected for the All-10th Anniversary Dream Team, to be announced Dec. 1.
Voting runs through Nov. 24, with ballots accessible through the 10th Anniversary page on the Condors official website. Just click on the link, and vote for your favorite Condors from the last decade of hard-hitting Bakersfield hockey. You can also access the ballot via the Californian's website at bakersfield .com/condors. Player bios and photos are available online so that you have all the information you need to make your selections. You can vote up to 10 times for your Dream Team online.
All ballots will be entered in a drawing with a grand prize of four terrace level Condors tickets for the rest of the regular season (29 games from Dec. 1 to March 31). Secondary prizes including Condors 10th Anniversary replica jerseys, t-shirts and pucks will be given away weekly as the voting continues.
"We thought this would be another fun way for fans to get involved in the 10th Anniversary Season," said Condors President Matthew Riley. "There have been so many exciting players across the years, it should be a lot of fun to see who the fans select."
For those looking to vote the traditional way, paper ballots will be printed and inserted into the Bakersfield Californian, beginning on Sunday, Nov. 18. Voting via paper ballot is unlimited as long as the ballot is an original from the newspaper. Paper ballots can be handed in at the Condors games on Sunday, Nov. 18 and Saturday, Nov. 24.
"We're excited to be a part of the 10th Anniversary Dream Team voting," said Californian Marketing Manager Rob Meszaros. "It's been a great 10 years and we look forward to many more successful ventures with the Condors."
Bartl Returning to Condors: Kevin Bartl, Voice of the Condors for four seasons (2001-02 through 2004-05), is returning to the team as Vice President of Communications. He'll be joining up with the club on its east coast trip, beginning with the game against Reading on Wednesday, Nov. 7. Be sure to tune in as Bartl gets back behind the mic for all the exciting Condors action on the All-New KGEO AM1230.
