RoadRunners To Host "Pink In The Rink" November 10 & 11

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, an affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, will host their first ever "Pink In The Rink" event at 7:11 p.m. Nov. 10 and 11 at US Airways Center to raise breast cancer awareness throughout the Valley.
For both games Saturday and Sunday against the Las Vegas Wranglers, the RoadRunners will skate on pink ice at US Airways Center while wearing specially-designed, limited-edition pink jerseys. These game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off in a silent auction throughout the weekend, and all proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The RoadRunners will also recognize local breast cancer survivors during pre-game ceremonies Saturday and Sunday.
Fans can do their part and support "Pink In The Rink" by purchasing $15 ticket packages that include a ticket to the game, a hot dog, and a soda. $2 of each ticket sold will also benefit the Komen Foundation. The first 2,000 fans both nights will also receive pink Thunderstix in support of this cause.
October just concluded Breast Cancer Awareness month in the United States and the Susan G. Komen Foundation is the world's largest and progressive grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists. As the face and voice of the global breast cancer movement, the Komen Foundation has local affiliates in 125 cities, including Phoenix.
The RoadRunners continue their season opening 12-game home-stand at 7:11 p.m. Thursday and Saturday as they welcome the Fresno Falcons to US Airways Center for a two-game series.
