Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack wishes to congratulate Assistant Coach Terry Virtue on inducted as the inaugural class of the Worcester Hockey Hall of Fame. Virtue is a former Worcester IceCats captain and all-time leader in games played with 455. He was a fixture in Worcester for six hockey seasons accumulating 210 points and 1083 penalty minutes. With over 1,100 professional games played, he also suited up in five games in the NHL (4 with Boston, 1 with New York Rangers).
Virtue, who currently resides in nearby Tara, ON. served as an Associate Coach of the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League handling the defensive operations and special teams before joining the Attack as an Assistant Coach this past August. The former player was apart of 19 different teams over an 18 year span, tallying over 2800 Penalty Minutes.
"Terry has brought many fine qualities to our team this season.", stated Attack GM Dale DeGray. "He is a tremendously hard worker and is very deserving of this honor."
Terry and his family will travel to Worcester following this evening's game vs. Barrie and will not return until Monday, meaning he will miss this weekend's home stand against Sault Ste. Marie and Windsor.
