BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today the Football Kick Off Party presented by 105.7 The Fan at Prince George's Stadium Sunday, August 5, as the team takes on the Trenton Thunder at 6:05 p.m. The event features a special appearance by former Washington Redskins Executive Vice President Vinny Cerrato in a dunk tank.
Fans will have the opportunity to throw a ball at a target and dunk Vinny to support the Jimmy V Foundation.
Assistant General Manager Phil Wrye helped organize the event. "It's great that Vinny is being a good sport and that he is willing to have some fun at a game," Wrye said. "We don't want the event to be mean-spirited or vindictive; we just want people to come out, have fun and donate to a good charity."
"We are very excited to be teaming up with the Baysox to raise money for this worthy cause," said Dave Labrozzi, Vice President of Programming for CBS Radio, Baltimore and WJZ-FM. "Vinny's looking forward to helping raise as much as possible for the Jimmy V Foundation."
The Baysox will be celebrating the beginning of the NFL Preseason with football-themed activities on the concourse and in-game promotions. Tickets to the event can be ordered at www.baysox.com or by calling the Baysox Box Office at (301) 464-4865.
