Ontario Reign News Release

VICTORIA, BC - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, lost its third straight game to the Victoria Salmon Kings with a 4-1 loss. Aaron Lewadniuk scored the lone Reign goal.

The Salmon Kings struck first, as Matt Siddall went forehand-backhand to beat Kellen Briggs at 10:03 of the first period.

At 3:55 of the second, Lewadniuk took a pass from Pierre-Andre Bureau and put it in the cage to pull the Reign even at 1-1. However, the Salmon Kings went up 2-1 less than two minutes later when Siddall capitalized on being left alone in front of the net and tapped home his second goal of the game.

Derek Couture extended the Salmon King lead to 3-1 at 5:14 of the third frame and Kiel McLeod added an empty-netter at 19:30 to make it 4-1. As in the first two games of the series, Victoria scored first and kept Ontario from finding its rhythm. The Reign did not have a lead at any point in the series.
