Utah Grizzlies News Release

Boise, Idaho - The Utah Grizzlies (4-2-1-0) fell 4-1 to the Idaho Steelheads Saturday night as their quest for a three-game series sweep in Boise came short.

Utah beat Idaho 4-3 in a shootout Wednesday and 2-1 Friday to collect the first four points in the three-game series against their closest regional rival.

"Maybe this is a wakeup call that we can't win hockey games when 12 guys come to the rink ready to play," said Head Coach Kevin Colley. "We need everyone pulling in the same direction to accomplish our goals."

Utah trailed early before Brock Wilson's first goal of the year tied the first period score at one as he backhanded home a puck as Marcus Carroll won the face-off in a four-on-four situation.

Idaho took a 2-1 lead into the second intermission and made it 4-1 with two third period goals as the Steelheads (2-2-2-1) ended their five-game winless skid after advancing to the Kelly Cup Finals last season.

The Grizzlies continue their eight-game road trip Friday and Saturday in Las Vegas. Face-off both nights is scheduled for 8:05 p.m.

Utah returns home Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20 to host the Alaska Aces at Maverik Center. Friday is Maverik "Pack the House" night. All tickets are $5 for fans presenting a receipt from Maverik at the arena box office. Fans who present military identification Saturday will receive a $5 game ticket as well.
