Victoria, BC - The Victoria Seals are proud to announce that they will be marking one-week from the first annual Paint The Park Pink Night at Royal Athletic Park with an online jersey auction. The Seals will donate 100% proceeds from the auction, which begins at 7:00 p.m. (PT), to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, BC/Yukon Region. Fans can bid directly from the Seals website at www.victoriaseals.ca.
The limited edition black Paint The Park Pink jersey, produced locally by TeamWorks Athletic Supply, features an altered pink Seals logo, along with a pink cancer awareness ribbon on the sleeve. The jersey featured in the online auction will be Victoria pitcher Isaac Hess' #10, and will be autographed by the entire team before being shipped to the winning bidder at no additional cost!
"We are really happy to offer this auction to our fans in Victoria and supporters around the globe," said Seals General Manager Roxann Bury. "This is a great way to raise some money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and give our fans a chance to own this great limited edition jersey."
The Seals players and coaching staff will all wear the limited edition black and pink jerseys during the game against the Yuma Scorpions on July 24 at 7:05 p.m. (PT). All proceeds from the jersey auction at the ballpark will also go directly towards the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, BC/Yukon Region.
The Seals will also offer a special discount to fans who purchase advance tickets to Paint The Park Pink Night - online at www.victoriaseals.ca or by phone at (250) 220-7777. Simply use the discount code 'PINK' under Pre-Sales & Promotions to receive $2.00 off your ticket to the July 24 contest against Yuma. In addition, $1.00 from every promotional ticket sold will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, BC/Yukon Region.
Other events around the ballpark include a Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, BC/Yukon Region 50/50 Draw and a $1000 RSP Raffle presented by Fisgard Capital, with all proceeds donated in support of cancer research.
Tonight the Seals will try to bounce back with a series win against the Chico Outlaws, a 7:00 p.m. (PT) start time for game three of the series. The game will not be broadcast on the Victoria Seals Radio Network, but will be available via online webcast at http://www.justin.tv/chicooutlawsbaseball.
The Seals will finally return home on July 23 to kick off a six-game homestand at Royal Athletic Park.
