
Victoria Generals and Texas Marshals Split Series

Victoria Generals News Release
The Victoria Generals were held to only two hits as the Generals fall 3-0 to the Texas Marshals in the conclusion of the two-game series where the Generals split the series at Riverside Stadium.
The Generals' Chris Jones pitched 5.1 scoreless innings until giving up his first hit to Sam Gutierrez with a one-out base hit. Jones was relieved after 5.2 innings by Lee May Gonzalez who pitched the rest of the game.
Levi Zents and Bryce Brandl were the lone Generals with hits in the game.
The Generals fall to a 4-5 record and look to improve their play as they hit the road and take on the division-leading Acadiana Cane Cutters for a two-game series Friday June 10 and Saturday June 11.
The Generals return home Tuesday, June 14 and open a two-game home series against the Woodlands Strykers. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Tuesday is also Free Ticket Night thanks to Ashley Furniture. First 300 fans through the gate will receive a commemorative Generals baseball shirt and the first 500 fans through the gates will receive a Generals fan. Also Clay Crockett and his Nations of Believers Band will be performing at 6:00 pm before the game. Other great giveaways also included.
Gates will open an hour before first pitch with happy hour on the Compadres Design Party Deck. Draft beer will be half-price until first pitch.
