Woodlands Strykers News Release

The Woodlands, TX - Thursday night, the Woodlands Strykers took on the Acadiana Cane Cutters in their second showdown of the season at Strykers Stadium. The Strykers looked to redeem themselves over the Cane Cutters after dropping the first two games to Acadiana earlier this season.

After the Cane Cutters scored in the top of the fourth inning, the Stykers mounted a comeback in the bottom half of the inning. After loading the bases on walks, Harrison DiNicola had an RBI that allowed Mitchell Bumann to score. In the ensuing play, the Strykers pieced together two more runs to cut their deficit.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Strykers maintained their hot bats as they scored four runs as they responded to the Cane Cutters two run frame in the top half of the inning. Despite their loss to the Cane Cutters, starting pitcher, Eric Foshee, threw two complete innings of play resulting in the effort.

The Strykers will be back in action Friday, as they travel to Bryan, Texas to take on the Brazos Valley Bombers. The match-up is set to begin at 7:05 p.m. at Nutrabolt Stadium.
