
Victoria Generals Win First Game of Series against Texas Marshals

The Victoria Generals marched back from a four-run deficit to beat the Texas Marshals 5-4.
The Generals' bats came alive in the fifth inning scoring five runs on three hits to take a one-run lead over the Marshals. The Generals never looked back as they added insurance runs in the sixth and eight innings.
The TCL Player Of The Week, Nick Anderson had a fantastic night going two-for-five, including scoring three runs. Levi Zents also had a good game bringing home two runs. The other two runs came in on an error in the fifth inning.
Chance Callihan came in to relieve Kenny Saenz and struck out nine batters and registered the win on the night pitching five innings. Kyle Craft Came in in the bottom of the ninth to get the save striking out two.
The Generals look to capitalize on their success Thursday, June 9 as the Generals take on the Marshals in the finale of the two-game series. The first pitch starts at 7:05 p.m.
Thursday is also Thirsty Thursday where draft beer is $1 the entire game on the Compadres Design Party Deck. Gates for the game tomorrow opens at 6 p.m.
