Harrisburg Senators News Release

Drew Vettleson hit a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning, vaulting the Harrisburg Senators to a 3-2 win over the Bowie Baysox Saturday night in front of 6,870 fans at Metro Bank Park. The Senators (50-51) will look to split the four-game series tomorrow with a win.

Austin Voth continued his sparkling July with five shutout innings, scattering four hits and three walks while striking out four. Voth struggled with his command, throwing 50 of 89 pitches for strikes, but he stranded six runners on base in his five innings. Erik Davis followed and allowed Bowie to take the lead on a Quincy Latimore solo home run in the sixth. However, the Senators tied the game in the bottom half when Wilmer Difo doubled and later scored on a Cutter Dykstra sacrifice fly.

Davis pitched a scoreless seventh and Gilberto Mendez retired the side in order in the eighth. Senators' outfielder Isaac Ballou then led off the Harrisburg eighth with a triple to left-center field, and Chris Bostick followed with a triple of his own to put the Senators on top, 2-1. Bostick, however, was stranded on third despite reaching there with no outs.

Latimore started the ninth with a walk against Mendez, and he moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Mendez then induced a flyout, but pinch hitter Mike Yastrzemski hit a two-out, RBI double to the tie the game at two before Vettleson walked the Senators off in the bottom of the 9th.

The finale of a four-game set will start Sunday at 1:30 p.m. The pregame show will begin at 1:15 p.m. on Fox Sports 1460am, iHeart Radio, and on Tune In.
