
Vees Forward Brooks DeMars Named to US U17 Men's Select Team for Four Nations

PENTICTON, BC - Penticton Vees 2009-born forward Brooks "Boomer" DeMars has been named to USA Hockey's U17 Men's Select Team for the upcoming 2025 Four Nations Tournament.
The 2025 Under-17 Four Nations Tournament will take place in Plymouth, Michigan, August 5 - 9. Along with the U.S., the tournament will include teams from Czechia, Slovakia and Switzerland.
DeMars, 16, cracked the roster after a strong showing at the USA Hockey Boys National 16 Player Development Camp in Amherst, New York. The Hugo, Minnesota product finished sixth in scoring after he posted 7 points (5G, 2A) in five games.
DeMars, captained the Long Island Gulls U15 AAA team and played a pivotal role in their New York State championship run. The 6'1", 174-pound forward finished second in team scoring with 69 points (32 goals, 37 assists) in 50 games and scored the overtime game-winner in the state championship final.
At the U15 Nationals, DeMars ranked third in tournament scoring with 13 points (6 goals, 7 assists) in five games. He also contributed at the U16 level, averaging a point per game with 15 points (5 goals, 10 assists) in 15 appearances.
The Vees signed DeMars signed to a Western Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement in May, after his playing rights were acquired from the Swift Current Broncos in a trade during the WHL Expansion Draft.
