
Vanderweeken Gets A Three Peat

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the International Hockey League, announce defenseman Jamie Vanderveeken has been selected as the league's Aquafina Rookie of the Week for the period ending March 23rd.
Clutch in four games last week, Vanderveeken recorded six points (2 goals, 4 assists) and registered a plus/minus of plus-1.
The native of Sarnia, Ontario's top outing of the week was a two-point outburst (1 goals, 1 assist) during the K-Wings 4-2 victory last Saturday versus Bloomington.
A three-time recipient of the league's top rookie honor, Vanderveeken joins former K-Wing Mike Bickley as the only other member of the franchise to receive the award this season. After five days off, Kalamazoo will start a three-game road swing this Friday night against the Fort Wayne Komets.
