Riedel Wins Honor For Second Straight Week

MUSKEGON - Riding the wave of a nine-game point streak, Fury left wing Dan Riedel has been named the International Hockey League's National City Forward of the Week.

It's the second straight week Riedel has been honored and the second straight week a Fury player has won Forward of the Week. Last week, Riedel was the IHL's Rookie of the Week and Muskegon's Robin Bouchard was the IHL's Forward of the Week.

Riedel scored five points (3G, 2A) and a +4 plus-minus rating this week. Thursday, he had a goal and an assist in the Fury's 6-1 victory over Bloomington. Friday, he had an assist is Muskegon's 8-2 loss at Bloomington. Saturday against Port Huron, Riedel had two goals, including the overtime game-winner, in the Fury's 3-2 victory. On the season, Riedel leads all Fury rookies with 25 goals, 19 assists and 44 points.

Riedel is the fourth Fury forward to win the Forward of the Week award, joining Robin Bouchard, Billy Collins and Mark Cadotte.
