Utah Flash News Release
Orem, Utah - The Utah Flash Fox and staff joined dozens of Utah County law enforcement officers for the annual "Shop With a Cop" event at the K-Mart in Spanish Fork this morning, helping provide presents for underprivileged children throughout the community.
This is the third year the Flash have supported this event with donations and time.
Started by Sergeant Tom Hodgson, the event has previously resulted in tens of thousands of dollars in donations from individuals and companies throughout Utah.
"It was great to be a part of this event once again," said Utah Flash Assistant Coach Kevin Young. "I'm glad that I was able to be there and see these efforts make a difference to these children. We look forward to being involved with this event for a long time."
In addition to participating in "Shop With a Cop" the Flash players, fans, and staff spent their Saturday delivering gifts to over 80 Utah County Families as part of the Flash Family Foundation's annual program to help deserving families.
