Idaho's Sundiata Gaines scored a game-high 31 points to go with six rebounds and six assists in the win over Los Angeles. Teammate Mildon Ambres finished with 17 points, while five Stampede men scored in double figures.
Diamon Simpson led the D-Fenders with the game's lone double-double, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. James Jackson chipped in with 21 points for L.A.
Taylor Griffin scored a game-high 19 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for a double-double in his first game on assignment from the Phoenix Suns to the Iowa Energy. Curtis Stinson added his own double-double with 12 points and 11 assists.
Maurice Baker finished with a team-high 14 points for Dakota, while teammate Curtis Withers finished with 12 points and 11 assists.
Dwayne Jones put together a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double in 39 minutes for the Toros, shooting 6-6 from the field and 7-8 from the stripe. Fellow Toro Lewis Clinch chipped in with 22 points in 29 minutes in the win in Austin.
Bakesfields' Jeremy Wise scored 19 points in 25 minutes for the Jam.
Desmon Farmer scored a game-high 33 points and Russell Robinson drained four three-pointers, scoring 26 on the night, to lead the Bighorns to a win over Utah. Rod Benson also contributed with 17 points and eight boards.
Utah's Dontell Jefferson scored a team-high 30 points, while Carlos Wheeler contributed the Flash's only double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds in 29 minutes on the floor.
SPRINGFIELD ADDS CHRIS LOWE:
The Springfield Armor yesterday acquired UMass product Chris Lowe. To make room for Lowe on the roster, Springfield waived UConn's Craig Austrie. Lowe was named an 08-09 A-10 Honorable Mention. Lowe will make his tomorrow against the Tulsa 66ers.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
Twenty-four players with NBA D-League experience competed in 11 NBA games last night, seven as starters.
Aaron Brooks scored 19 points for Houston in 35-minute start. The Rockets defeated the 76ers.
Minnesota's Ramon Sessions finished with 15 points, shooting 7-9, in 23 minutes off the bench. The Wolves fell to the Lakers.
Martell Webster finished with 13 points, playing 35 minutes for Portland in a loss to Cleveland.
Dallas' JJ Barea finished with a 12-point, 10-assists double-double as the Mavericks beat the Heat.
Anthony Johnson scored 11 pints in 10 minutes for Orlando, who lost to the Suns in Phoenix.
Sonny Weems came off the bench for Toronto to score 10 points in 18 minutes. The Raptors fell to the Hawks.
