Union win on the road in Toronto for the first time since 2014

TORONTO, On. - Philadelphia Union recorded their seventh win in nine matches, this time at Toronto FC at BMO field on Saturday afternoon. This is the first time the Union have won in Toronto since 2014 and marks the third consecutive win for the Union, who remain unbeaten in their last five games. The club remains first in the Eastern Conference with 23 points (7-3-2), three ahead of second place DC United. The Union are now unbeaten in nine out of their last 10 games. Jamiro Monteiro scored his second career MLS goal after notching his second helper last match against New England.

The Union have their best start in team history through 12 games...previously 6-3-3 in 2011

For the first time in franchise history the Union have won seven out of their last nine matches, achieve that feat for the first time in club history ... the Union had won six out of nine as recently as late 2018, the stretch from 8/8/18 at New England through 10/6/18 vs. Minnesota.

Philadelphia Union won their first game in Toronto since 9/6/2014.

The own goal by Toronto is the ninth all-time own goal for the Union, and the first since 10/15/17 at Chicago.

Union have not lost a match when they have scored first this season.
