Chester, Pa. (August 1, 2015) - The third encounter this season between the Philadelphia Union and New York Red Bulls resulted in a 3-1 loss. The Union defeated the Red Bulls in the two previous encounters this season at Red Bull Arena, and were looking to make their home record against the visitors 5-2-1. Both teams pressed in the first half but were unable to find the back of the net. In the 64th minute, the new Union signing Tranquillo Barnetta entered the pitch to make his MLS debut. Sacha Kljestan capitalized on a penalty in the 66th to make the game 1-0 in favor of the Red Bulls. Sebastien Le Toux tied the game in the 73rd minute, scoring from Fernando Aristeguieta and Cristián Maidana's assists. One minute later, Bradley Wright Phillips scored from his brother, Shaun's assist to make the game 2-1. The Union looked for an equalizer, but the Red Bulls sealed the deal in the fourth minute of stoppage time with a goal from Anatole Bertrand Abang. The Union return to action on Saturday, August 8 to face Orlando City SC at the Citrus Bowl.
