Adirondack Frostbite News Release

GLENS FALLS, NY - The Adirondack Frostbite, in conjunction with the United Hockey League, announced today that Frostbite right wing Kevin Watters has been honored as the Easton UHL Rookie of the Month for October. Watters becomes the first player in league history to win the Rookie of the Month of the award.

The award caps a memorable opening month of the season for Watters. Last week, he was named Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Week after registering five goals and two assists in the first three games of the season.

In five October games, Watters tallied seven goals and added three assists for 10 points, which ranks him just one point behind the league leaders in points. Watters is second in the league with seven goals, is tied for the league lead in both shorthanded goals (2) and game-winning goals (2), and tied for second in power-play goals (3).

Adirondack opens a three-game home stand tomorrow night, hosting the Quad City Mallards at 7:05 p.m. Friday night, the Frostbite host the Elmira Jackals at 7:35 p.m., and on Saturday the Danbury Trashers come to town, also at 7:35 p.m. Tickets for all Frostbite home games are available at the Glens Falls Civic Center Box Office, or by calling (518) 798-0202.
