Adirondack's Kevin Watters named Easton UHL Rookie of the Month

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Tuesday that Adirondack Frostbite right wing Kevin Watters has been named Easton UHL Rookie of the Month for October.

Watters completed the first month of the season with ten points (7g, 3a) and a plus-6 rating in five games played. He scored his first professional goal vs. the Richmond RiverDogs on opening night of the 2005-06 season. The following evening he tallied a hat trick (3g) plus added an assist to end with a four-point night. The 22-year-old native of Pittsford, New York has scored a goal in all five Frostbite games which is the longest UHL streak this season. Watters leads all rookies in scoring (10 pts) and goals (7). Of his seven goals, two were shorthanded, three were on the power play, and two were game-winners.

Other players nominated for the Easton UHL Rookie of the Month include: Danbury forward Alex Goupil, Elmira right wing Jarrett Konkle, Flint goaltender Peter Brady, Fort Wayne left wing Michael Wiggins, Kalamazoo goaltender Joel Martin, Missouri right wing Brad MacMillan, Motor City right wing Mike Ramsay, Muskegon left wing David Wrigley, Port Huron forward Ryan Markham, Quad City forward Anthony Blumer, Richmond forward Warren Cooper, Roanoke left wing Steve Crusco, and Rockford right wing Robin Big Snake.

The 2005-06 season is the first year that the Easton UHL Rookie of the Month will be awarded. It will recognize the performance of players who have played in 60 or fewer professional games and goaltenders who have played 3,600 or fewer professional minutes prior to this season.
