Spokane Chiefs News Release

Dominik Uher had two goals including the decisive marker at 6:57 of the third period in a 5-2 Spokane win over the Kootenay Ice on Friday night in the Spokane Arena. Uher also added an assist as the Chiefs won their fourth in a row and evened the season series with the Ice at two games apiece.

Uher scored the first period's only goal with just 48-seconds left in the frame off a Tyler Johnson assist.

The Ice tied it up on a Max Reinhart power play goal at 7:12 of the second.

Levko Koper gave the Chiefs a 2-1 lead with the first of two Spokane power play goals. Johnson and Jared Cowen had the helpers.

Kootenay's Cody Eakin scored the Ice's final goal 46-seconds into the third period before Spokane put three unanswered on the board. Uher's power play goal acted as the game winner. Johnson's one-timer from the left circle finished off a Brenden Kichton cross ice pass and Steve Kuhn's backhand from center ice bounced into the empty net with just a minute remaining in the game.

James Reid earned the victory, his 29th of the season and 79th career, with 23 saves.

The Chiefs were 2-5 on the power play and 5-6 on the penalty kill with 25 shots.

Spokane remains at home with a date on Saturday night against the Kelowna Rockets. The first 2,000 fans through the gates, and all full season ticket holders in attendance, will receive a bobble head of Chiefs' Assistant Coach and two time Stanley Cup winner Jon Klemm. The night is presented by Coca-Cola and Rock 94 1/2.
