
U.S. Bank Lynx Caravan hits the road today

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx will host the Lynx Caravan, presented by U.S. Bank, at two elementary schools in Minneapolis at 2:15 p.m. today.
The U.S. Bank Lynx Caravan will stop at Jefferson Elementary School, located at 2600 West 26th Street, and the Northrop Urban Environmental Center, located at 4315 31st Avenue South.
Lynx assistant coach Teresa Edwards along with Lynx players Tamika Raymond, Keisha Brown and Eshaya Murphy, along with Lynx mascot Prowl will host 600 students for an assembly style clinic.
Head coach Don Zierden, accompanied by Lynx players Amber Jacobs, Kathrin Ress and 2007 WNBA No. 1 draft pick Lindsey Harding will show off their basketball skills during a basketball clinic with 120 elementary school students. Students learn proper dribbling, shooting, defense and rebounding techniques.
The clinics will kick off with a question-and-answer session with the players and coaches. In addition to the clinic, each student will receive two tickets to the Minnesota Lynx game on June 13 against former University of Minnesota star Lindsay Whalen and the Connecticut Sun.

The Lynx will open the 2007 season at the Indiana Fever on May 19 and will play their home opener on Sunday, May 20, at 6 p.m. against the Sacramento Monarchs at the Target Center.
