Edmonton Elks News Release

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimo defensive back Tristan Jackson was named the CFL Special Teams Player of the Week for week four, the club announced today.

The import kick return/defensive back made the Eskimos second touchdown on a 94-yard kick return, had a 64-yard missed field goal return and returned three punts for 18 yards in Sunday's game against the Toronto Argonauts. Defensively had two tackles and a huge pass knock down on the 5-yard line that prevented Tyler Scott from completing the reception for a touchdown.

The touchdown was Jackson's third of the year. He has also scored once off a punt return and once off an interception. This is the second week in a row that Jackson has been a unanimous selection for the CFL Special Teams player of the week.

The Eskimos take on the Ticats in Hamilton on Friday, July 25th. Kickoff is at 7:00pm Eastern. The team heads home for the July 31st match up between Edmonton and BC at Commonwealth. Kickoff is at 8:00pm. For more information on the Edmonton Eskimos visit our website at www.esks.com.
