November 7, 2014 - Frontier League (FL)
Schaumburg Boomers News Release

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - After winning championships in each of the last two seasons, the Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks, begin their quest to complete the three-peat in Schaumburg on Friday, May 22 at 6:30 p.m. against the Lake Erie Crushers as the complete 96-game slate featuring an expanded 54-game home schedule was announced today.

Group Outings, Season Tickets and Boomer Bundle ticket packages are on sale now at their lowest prices of the year so call the Boomers today at 847.461.3695 or, for more information, log on to www.boomersbaseball.com.

With a total of 18 Friday and Saturday home games, the Schaumburg schedule boasts 20 fireworks nights in 2015. Three straight nights of fireworks highlight the first three home games of the season over Memorial Day Weekend on May 22-24. Celebrate the Independence Day Holiday with the Boomers on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 and help Schaumburg close out the season with a bang for our annual Fan Appreciation Fireworks on Thursday, September 3.

Standard game start times remain the same in 2015 with home games on Tuesday through Friday beginning at 6:30 p.m., Saturday contests set to commence at 6 p.m. and first pitch on Sunday afternoons at 1 p.m. All game times are subject to change and include a few exciting exceptions over the course of the summer.

Space is limited for the overwhelmingly popular Day Camp Days now highlighting three fantastic 11 a.m. games in 2015: Wednesday, June 17, Tuesday, June 23 and Wednesday, July 29. Teachers, principals, students and parents from area schools simply must mark Boomers Kids Day on their calendars to join in the fun and celebrate another productive school year on Wednesday, May 27 at 11 a.m.

There are also plenty of good times in store for the adults in #Boomerica in 2015. The Boomers will feature two nights for adults only with 21 and Over Night scheduled for Thursday, May 28 and again on Thursday, August 20 at 7:30 p.m. Building off last year's successful debut and with the kids in school, the Boomers experience transforms into fun for grownups with classic games like bags and beer pong all night long, between inning contests geared for adults and the lineup of sound and video clips expanded to include uncensored ones on these two nights only.

While area companies and businesses throughout Chicagoland flock to Boomers Stadium all summer long, it doesn't get much better than afternoon baseball with Boomers Businessperson's Days on a trio of late summer Wednesdays: August 12, August 19 and September 2. The special 1 p.m. start time makes these afternoons perfectly suited for a half-day in the office and summer outing at the ballpark. Due to increased demand for catering on these days, premium space will go fast. Group discounts begin for parties of 20 or more and the larger the group the bigger the discount!

The Boomers open the 2015 season with a seven-game road trip beginning on Thursday, May 14 against the Windy City ThunderBolts. Schaumburg will celebrate a second straight Frontier League Championship and welcome back Boomers baseball with three consecutive nights of fireworks beginning on Friday, May 22 against the Lake Erie Crushers. The Boomers host the Frontier Greys for three visits in 2015 while the Joliet Slammers, Florence Freedom and Washington Wild Things each make two trips to Schaumburg in 2015. The Boomers make multiple visits to both Normal and Windy City and have just one home series and one road series with the remaining seven Frontier League clubs.

So much more than just a ballgame, the Boomers are the most affordable entertainment experience for families once again in 2015 with Free Parking at every game and tickets starting at just $7! Schaumburg's 96-game regular season schedule features 54 home games at Boomers Stadium, which is conveniently located off the Elgin-O'Hare Expressway (I-390) at Springinsguth Road, just west of I-290. The Stadium is also located adjacent to the Schaumburg Metra stop along the Milwaukee-District West Line based out of Union Station in Chicago.
