Flannery (2-2), who entered in the eighth inning, gave up a two-out ninth inning double to Ty Kelly, but fanned Brian Conley to end the game.

Charleston jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first against Delmarva's Matt Hobgood, when Paredes singled to lead off, reached second on an error, moved to third on a groundout, and then scored on a wild pitch.

Kyle Higashioka doubled to lead off the second and eventually scored on Garrison Lassiter's RBI groundout increasing the lead to 2-0.

The RiverDogs scored for the third straight inning upping the lead to 3-0 on a two-out, infield RBI single by Zoilo Almonte.

Delmarva inched the score to 3-1 in the fourth against Jose Ramirez on Tyler Stampone's RBI fielder's choice.

Murton roped a RBI single to left in the fifth giving Charleston a 4-1 lead.

Ramirez was touched up for three runs in the bottom half, as Delmarva tied the affair at 4-4. Garabez Rosa drilled a RBI triple to centerfield and scored on Mike Mooney's sacrifice fly. Steve Bumbry then tied the game by legging out a RBI fielder's choice with one out.

Hobgood left after 5.0 innings down by three, but took a no-decision allowing a season-high nine hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Ramirez also pitched 5.0 innings, surrendering four runs on seven hits while walking two and sinking three.

Paredes and Murton contributed three hits for the RiverDogs, while Higashioka added a double and a single. Kelly poled three doubles for the Shorebirds.
