CHARLESTON, WV - Sometimes in baseball there is no justice. Terry Doyle fired seven superb innings where he fanned 14 batters but still picked up the loss as the Intimidators fell to the West Virginia Power by the score of 2-0 on Friday night.

Doyle (3-2) recorded strikeouts on his first five available outs and averaged two strikeouts an inning in the game, tying his career high of 14. Doyle did not allow a walk and has 25 strikeouts over his last two starts, 15 innings of baseball. The lone blemish on his line was a solo shot to left field in the fourth inning by Rogelio Noris, one of just four hits, and the reason for the loss.

Kyle McPherson (2-3) pitched almost equally as well for the Power (12-16) as he went seven innings with eight strikeouts without allowing a run. Maurice Bankston pitched a clean eighth and ninth to hang on the save and win the game for his starter McPherson.

The Power added a second run in the game off Garrett Johnson in the eighth inning, but the Power wouldn't need it as they shutout the Intimidators (14-15). The Intimidators had two chances to score in the seventh and eighth innings but couldn't push a run across the board.

The Intimidators have now failed for the fifth time this season in attempts to get a game above .500 and will try and reach that mark on Saturday as Cameron Bayne takes to the hill opposed by Gabriel Alvarado.
