Quad Cities River Bandits News Release
Burlington, Iowa. - The River Bandits wasted no time taking an early lead on Saturday night in Burlington scoring two runs in the first inning, but it took 11 innings for the River Bandits to open the three-game set with the Burlington Bees with a 7-6 win.
The Bees claimed the lead with three runs in the bottom of the second off Bandit starter Jorge Rondon. A two-run homer by Jose Bonilla highlighted the inning. Down by two in the top of the seventh, the Bandits battled back to even the score with a pair of runs. Devin Goodwin came home with the first run on a wild pitch and Matt Adams crossed home with the second run on a double play.
