Two mistakes separate Frisco from Round Rock

Round Rock Express News Release
For the vast majority of Wednesday's game with the Frisco RoughRiders, D.J. Houlton was remarkable. Two pitches, though, were the difference between victory and defeat.
Home runs by Ramon Nivar and Kurt Airoso scored all of Frisco's runs and the Round Rock Express were shut down by Jose Dominguez in a 4-1 loss in front of 10,887 at The Dell Diamond.
Nivar has been a thorn in the Express' side all year and that was no different Wednesday. Nivar homered off of Houlton in the first to give Frisco an early 1-0 lead.
Houlton then got in a groove and rolled through the next five innings and almost made it six before Airoso hit a three-run shot to left center. Despite the home runs, Houlton still had a solid night, striking out nine.
That was all the help Dominguez would need. He was dominant throughout his 6.2 innings. He was rarely in trouble and allowed only three hits while striking out five.
Tommy Whiteman gave Round Rock its only run with a ninth inning home run, his team leading eleventh of the year.
Dominguez moved to 2-0 after three starts with the RoughRiders. Houlton fell to 5-4 with the hard luck loss.
The four game series will conclude Thursday night at 7:05 p.m.
