Sox lose 5th straight in 12 innings

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox dropped their 5th straight game as they lose to the Nashville Sounds 8-7 in 12 innings. Nashville sweeps the series returning the Sox home with a .500 record at 40-40. The Sox bats began to show life with the Sox down 7 runs they bounced back to tie the game with 7 runs in the 9th inning to send the game to extra innings. David Newhan led the offense with 3 hits as Kit Pellow and Raul Casanova each drove in 2 runs. The Sox have Wednesday off and will return home Thursday for an 8 game homestand starting with the Oklahoma RedHawks. In game 1 Denny Stark (0-2, 4.50) will take the mound for the Sox against Ryan Drese (2-3, 5.74) of Oklahoma.
